Recipe of the Month – Sugar Free Spice Latte Syrup

RECIPE OF THE MONTH

SUGAR FREE PUMPKING SPICE LATTE SYRUP

INGREDIENTS

  • ½ Cup Truvia
  • 1 Cup Water
  • A dash of salt
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla
  • 2 tsps. Pumpkin Pie Spice mix
  • ½ Cup Pure Pumpkin Puree

DIRECTIONS

In a small saucepan, make a simple syrup with Trulia (or other artificial sweetener), water and salt. Mix them together and bring to a simmer until the sugar is dissolved and the syrup is slightly reduced.
Turn off the heat and add the Vanilla, Pumpkin Pies Spice and the Pumpkin Puree. Whisk together until they are smooth. Return to medium-low heat and bring to a simmer. Stirring regularly, simmer for 10-15 minutes until the syrup is has reduced and is golden-brown in color.

Add 2-3 tablespoons to your favorite hot beverage – coffee, hot chocolate or tea as a syrup substitute on pancakes and French toast.
